Terms of Use, Data Provenance & Compliance
Last updated: February 2026
1. Purpose & Scope
Silicon Analysts (“we,” “us,” or “the Service”) provides semiconductor industry cost modeling tools, market data dashboards, and analytical content at siliconanalysts.com. All tools and data are provided for educational and estimation purposes only.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.
2. Data Sources & Provenance
All benchmarks, default values, and market data displayed on Silicon Analysts are derived exclusively from publicly available sources, including but not limited to:
- Quarterly earnings calls and investor presentations (TSMC, Samsung, Intel, GlobalFoundries, SMIC, UMC)
- Published analyst reports and industry research from publicly accessible sources
- Company press releases, annual reports, and SEC/regulatory filings
- Industry conference proceedings (IEDM, ISSCC, SEMICON)
- Trade publications (Semiconductor Engineering, EE Times, DigiTimes)
- Government and regulatory body publications (CHIPS Act, EU Chips Act disclosures)
Silicon Analysts does not use, store, or redistribute any proprietary, classified, export-controlled, or non-public information. No data is sourced from non-disclosure agreements, trade secrets, or confidential business relationships.
3. Data Accuracy & Methodology
We employ cross-validation methods to improve data quality, including revenue-based cross-checks against company earnings reports. However, all figures are estimates and may differ from actual values. Semiconductor pricing, capacity, and market data are inherently dynamic and subject to change without notice.
Fab capacity figures represent installed capacity estimates derived from public disclosures. For multi-node fabs, capacity is split proportionally using earnings-reported production mix data. These splits are approximations and may not reflect exact production allocation at any given time.
4. Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Silicon Analysts shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages resulting from:
- Business, investment, or procurement decisions made based on data provided by the Service
- Inaccuracies, errors, or omissions in any data, estimates, or content
- Interruption, suspension, or termination of access to the Service
- Any third-party actions or reliance on Service data
Users are solely responsible for independently verifying all data before making any business or financial decisions.
5. Sanctions & Export Compliance
Silicon Analysts complies with U.S. export control regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and sanctions programs administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
Access to the Service is restricted from the following jurisdictions subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions:
- Iran
- North Korea

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any sanctioned jurisdiction, and that you are not on any U.S. government restricted party list (SDN List, Entity List, or Denied Persons List).
While the data presented on Silicon Analysts is derived entirely from publicly available sources and does not constitute controlled technical data, we implement geo-blocking as a compliance measure consistent with industry best practices.
